New Work
I've finally put up images of the new piece, Subdermal, which will be on display at Design Harvest October 1st and 2nd (see below). It was actually an older piece, Ommatidia, that has been revisited with incredibly different results.
Design Harvest Street Festival
I will be showing a new piece (see above) under a giant tent alongside the amazing furniture stylings of my buddies in the Dock 6 Collective.

Drawings?! There must be some mistake...
Just posted a couple of drawings I did in New Work. Based on factory windows, both studies are Pitt Pen (india ink) on watercolor paper. For more drawings, visit Grisly Man Graphics.
Custom wall for Sine Qua Non
I recently designed, built, and installed a gigantic wall of wooden blocks for Sine Qua Non's new West Town location. Lagomorph Design oversaw the production and is largely responsible for how awesome it looks throughout the salon. Go check it out sometime, and get yer hair did, too! Here's a picture.
Art Loop Open
The Mersal is being featured in the Art Loop Open, a gigantic show of local artists in different venues throughout Chicago's Loop. You the public get to vote on your favorite pieces, and there are plenty of good choices to pick from as the all-star curators have put together a collection of really top-notch work.
October 15 - 28, Public voting time
Show closes November 12
My work is on the street-level floor of Block 37.
New Work!
At long last, I've taken enough of a break from drawing to finish a new piece, The Mersal, further developing my aquatic theme and introducing wrap-around edges. No wonder it took so long.
Design You Trust
Just found out I got featured on a Design You Trust blog entry a little while back. They were kind enough to feature both my sculpture and my illustration.
Time Out
One of my lanterns has been featured in a Time Out Chicago home decor collection by Kevin Aeh. The focus is art inspired by music.
Blogonaut
My work and that of some friends has been featured in a Fear No Art blogpost by John Coyle Steinbrunner for WTTW-11. The write-up includes some links to good buddies of mine and is quite generous to my work; you should have a gander.
